Many people are exposed to the Suns harmful rays every single day but take no precautions to protect themselves. The picture above is of my grandma having surgery to remove melanoma cancer. Not only do UV rays harm your skin, but also your eyes. The issue today is that people don’t even know how bad the sun is for our skin. We need the sun for survival but when we get too much of it is when problems can occur that eventually lead to cancer. For the people that know they will have to spend many hours outside in the sun: you need to focus on ways to protect yourself. Wearing sunscreen and Chapstick with at least 30 SPF can help reduce harm overtime. Hats and umbrellas are useful when sitting outside as well. If Americans were more knowledgeable about skin cancer and ways to prevent it, there would be less cases of skin cancer treatment.
