Pictured above is a few of our Arkansas Tech Zeta Tau Alpha sisters. After Cheering for 5 years I have learned a lot about cheerleading. One problem that is on the rise right now is the number of injuries happening in cheer. The level of stunts is getting more intense and there are not enough strict rules. Girls of all different ages and skill levels have been getting major injuries that even lead to death sometimes. I think that skill levels should be arranged not only based off of skills but off of age too. Cheer is supposed to be a fun sport in which girls can showcase their skills, not to get injuries. If AAA would regulate cheerleading as much as they do other sports there would be less injuries in young girls.
